Veteran exec White to retire from Ace
Veteran Ace Ltd. executive Keith White is to retire at the end of the year after 17 years with the company, the Bermuda insurer announced yesterday.
Mr. White, who has been chief administrative officer of Ace since 2004, joined the company from BF&M in 1990 held a number of senior administrative positions including head of human resources.
He will be succeeded by Lori Samson, who is currently executive services director.
Ms Samson?s new responsibilities include oversight for Ace?s philanthropic and corporate giving, sponsorship, budgeting, facilities management, business continuity planning, the human resources function in Bermuda and administrative oversight for Ace Limited. Ms Samson, who joined ACE in 1990, will assume her new responsibilities October 1 and retain her current responsibilities for executive and board compensation matters.

She has a proven track record of getting things done and is a disciplined, creative and mature executive. Lori?s professional accomplishments and ACE experience in administrative and financial matters demonstrate her readiness to assume these significant new responsibilities. Keith has had an impressive insurance career, spanning more than 47 years, and his contributions to ACE have helped transform the company from a niche Bermuda-based entity to a diversified global leader in insurance and reinsurance.
