Willkomm to succeed French at Scottish Re
Scottish Re president and board member is to add CEO to his title when he succeeds Michael C. French in the new year.

Mr. French, who has served as Scottish Re?s director and CEO since May 1998, will remain the chairman of Scottish Re?s Board of Directors after Mr. Willkomm takes over on January 1, 2005.

As president, Mr. Willkomm has been responsible for the day-to-day business and financial operations of Scottish Re and has also focused on corporate development, strategic planning and corporate financing initiatives. Prior to joining the company, he worked as an investment banker for insurance, banking and financial services. As a managing director with Prudential Securities Incorporated, he represented insurance and reinsurance companies in connection with public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions. He also advised clients in establishing reinsurance companies in both life and property and casualty disciplines, including lead-managing the company?s initial public offering in November 1998. He graduated from Bowdoin College and has also worked in Merrill Lynch & Co?s Mergers and Acquisitions Department, Oppenheimer & Co?s Financial Institutions Group and was associated with First Albany Corporation and Sandler O?Neill & Partners, L.P.
@EDITRULE:Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has named executive vice president of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. and president of Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd. Effective immediately, Mr. Bell will assume corporate responsibility for compliance, operations and marketing. Mr. Cash will assume operational responsibility for Endurance?s Bermuda based insurance and reinsurance business and also continue in his role as chief actuary of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.

Mr. LeStrange added that Mr. Cash had also been a key participant in the development of the company?s strategic and underwriting capabilities since its formation three years ago.

XL Capital Ltdhas named , executive vice president, group operations, its global head of corporate services. Henry C.V. Keelingexecutive vice president and chief executive for reinsurance operations, will now be the global head of business services, in addition to his existing responsibilities. , currently chief executive officer of XL Re America, has been appointed chief operating officer for XL?s reinsurance operations. In this role, Mr. Veghte will continue to report to Mr. Keeling but will assume a broader responsibility for the operating business units within the reinsurance segment.
XL Capital said the creation of the new senior executive positions was part of its continuing development of its organisational structure and global management. Business Services will embrace the infrastructure aspects of XL?s activities, including information technology, real estate and the co-ordination of Global Shared Services across the company. has joined Appleby Spurling Hunter as an associate member of the Trusts Team. She specialises in advising on the establishment and administration of private and commercial trusts. Prior to joining the firm, she was senior legal counsel and vice-president of the Global Fund Services Division of Bank of Bermuda Ltd where she advised the bank in its capacity as trustee of corporate and fund structures and as administrator and custodian of hedge funds. She previously worked as legal counsel to the bank?s subsidiary, Bermuda Trust Company Ltd. and prior to that practised law in Toronto

Ms Taitt Carey received a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Political Science from York University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1985 after studying law at Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada. She was called to the Bermuda Bar in September 1994 and is also a member of the Chartered Instate of Arbitrators.
