"From now until September there are such varied events as Wimbledon, cricket at Lord's, the Antique Fair at Olympia, Prom Concerts at Royal Albert Hall, Notting Hill Carnival, and the 90th birthday party of Nelson Mandela," BA's Bermuda manager Marianne Wilcox said in the press release.

In addition to the price cut, BA is offering a 15-percent discount on UK hotel rooms, car rentals, sightseeing tours and airport transfers for online customers on its BA Holidays programme.

Taxes and fees on the tickets for a Bermuda to London round trip, including the fuel surcharge, total over $380, leaving the total seat-sale cost at close to $880.
