Bermuda Aviation Services presents education awards

Kristin Loving and Jevone Morrissey have been selected to receive the 2007 Bermuda Aviation Education Awards.

The awards have been designed to provide opportunities for employees and their dependents to further their education through either vocational or academic institutions locally and abroad.

Kristin Loving was chosen to receive the Chairman's Education Award, which will provide $10,000 per year for up to four years. She is enrolled in the Child and Youth Study program at Mount St. Vincent University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Kristin graduated from Mount St. Agnes Academy, and is looking forward to working with local families when she graduates.

Aircraft Services Bermuda employee Jevone Morrissey was chosen to receive the President's Education Award, which will provide $5,000 per year for up to two years. He has been admitted to the Associates/Bachelor's degree program in Marine Technology at the New England Institute of Technology. Jevone graduated from CedarBridge Academy, and is looking forward to becoming a fully qualified diesel engine mechanic.

BAS Group president, Eugene Bean said: "BAS is committed to providing educational assistance for the advancement of its employees and their dependents. Our focus is on providing opportunity to individuals with ability and drive to accomplish more but lack the means to pursue their aspirations."
