New CFO of BAS

Andrew Alexander Griffith has been designated to vice president and chief financial officer of Bermuda Aviation Services. He will assume those positions as of October 1.

Mr. Griffith's role will include strategic and operational oversight of the fiscal management of the company's financial affairs and controls, according to BAS, which said he brings "a wealth of experience in the financial services industry having worked in the US, Canada and most recently Bermuda over the past decade."

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario and a post graduate of McGill University, he attained his Chartered Accountant professional qualification in 1996.

Mr. Griffith is also treasurer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda, the Bermuda Football Association and is a mentor with Youth Net.

BAS president, Gene Bean said: "I am looking forward to Andrew joining our team at BAS. I believe he brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences that will add a tremendous amount of value to the group."
