There was a modest rise of 10.39 points (0.21 percent) by the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange last week, which left the Index at 4,975.51.

The best improvement was recorded by Belco shares, which added $1 (4.76 percent) in value as a result of 24,200 being traded over the week to end at $22.

Losing 50 cents (11.11 percent) in value were MediaHouse Limited's 85 PFD stock, which closed at $4 after 266 were exchanged during the week.

Also dropping slightly were Butterfield Bank shares which shed five cents (0.27 percent) to end at $18.30 after 10,979 were traded.

Total number of shares traded during the five days was 35,615, representing a value of $736,639.90.
