Belco shares dropped in value by $1 (4.7 percent) after 1,054 were exchanged, closing at $20.50 on a day when the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange slipped back 26.38 points (0.51 percent) to close the week on 5,144.01.

The only other activity on the Exchange was the changing hands of 43,939 shares of Butterfield Bank that resulted in a five cents decrease in value (0.2 percent) to $20.70.

The total number of shares exchanged on the day was 44,993, representing a value of $930, 694.30.
