Margaret Mary Way Mattix

Bermuda's Margaret Mary Way Mattix has been named as one of the "World's Most Powerful Women in Business" by Fortune Magazine.

The summit was the world's premiere gathering of women leaders invited from business, government, academia, philanthropy, and the arts. Each autumn, a select group of approximately 300 women, comes together to learn and exchange important ideas. The program is diverse and designed to facilitate energetic and provocative discussions.

Mrs. Mattix is the daughter of William and Margaret Way of Paget. She attended the Bermuda High School for Girls from kindergarten through her "O" levels, and then went to the first Saltus Senior Year program.

In 1979 she graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Currently she is the Global Marketing Manager of Exxon's largest chemical division in Houston.
