Bermudians join MJM's corporate practice group
Bermudians Keira Petty and Zoe Roberts have been named as new associates at Mello Jones & Martin's corporate practice group.
Both Ms Petty and Ms Roberts joined the firm as pupils in 2006 and were called to the Bermuda Bar in September and October 2007 respectively.
Peter Martin, who heads the corporate practice group, said: "Mello Jones & Martin is pleased to welcome Keira and Zoe to our corporate practice team. We have a thriving practice and a team of highly experienced lawyers, and we believe Keira and Zoe will gain excellent experience here. It is a real coup for the firm to have two Bermudians with such clear talent and character join our corporate team." Ms Petty received her postgraduate diploma in legal practice (with commendation) from Cardiff University in Wales in 2006; her Bachelor of Laws (with honours) from Cardiff University in Wales in 2005; Bachelor of Arts in history from York University in Toronto in 2002; and her diploma (honours) from the Legal Assistant Programme at Humber College in Toronto in 1999.
Ms Roberts received her graduate diploma in legal practice from BPP Law School in the United Kingdom in 2006; her graduate diploma in law from BPP in 2005; and her Bachelor of Arts from York University in Toronto in 2002.
Mello Jones & Martin focuses on corporate law, civil litigation, wills, trusts and property, employing 62 people.
