Botanical Gardens hosts ski travel special
The Botanical Gardens will form the backdrop to a ski presentation by C Travel and Vail Resorts tomorrow.
The presentation, by Jennifer Viditz-Ward of Vail Resorts will be held at the Masterworks Art Garden Gallery at the Botancial Gardens in Paget from 5.30 p.m to 7.30 p.m.
It will focus on Vail Mountain in the US, the world's largest ski resort, with 1.6 million skiers and snowboarders annually, and a number of other activities on offer including ice skating, snow tubing, ski biking, snowshoe tours and kids snowmobiling.
The talk will also centre on the new additions to the resort such as the two new high-speed quad chairlifts to the Back Bowls, Blue Sky Basin and Two Elk Restaurant, the town's $1bn renovation to turn it into an area of world-class dining, shopping, art galleries, après ski, nightlife, spa services and premium hotel rooms and the opening of the Arrabelle luxury alpine resort at Vail Square, complete with 36 lavish guest rooms and approximately 50 additional condominium lock-off units.
Meanwhile, the presentation will touch on the luxury resort of Beaver Creek Resort, also in the US, a year-round destination, which features championship golf courses, elegant lodging and restaurants, festivals of art, food and wine and entertainment.
