BSX gains for second day

the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained for the second day in a row as Butterfield Bank and Bermuda Aviation Services rose in thin trading.

The Index closed up 44.53 points to 4,831.70 as just 667 shares worth 22,625.50 changed hands.

Butterfield rose for a second day, closing up 75 cents to $56.25 on volume of 367 shares while BAS was up 50 cents or eight percent at $6.75 on volume of 300.
