Butterfield Bank wins Euromoney awards
Butterfield Bank has been named Best Local Private Bank in the Caribbean and Best Local Private Bank in Bermuda by Euromoney magazine.
These two awards mark the first time Butterfield Bank has won a 'Best in Region' category from Euromoney, but follow accolades in 2007 and 2006 for being voted Best Bank in Bermuda.
Alan Thompson, president and chief executive officer of Butterfield Bank, expressed pleasure at the awards and said: "Private banking has become an increasingly important part of our business strategy and we have worked hard to continuously improve our services, products and performance in this area. Everyone at Butterfield Bank can feel proud of these awards."
Butterfield Bank offers private banking services in Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands. It also offers services to high net worth customers in Barbados through its domestic and internationally-focused subsidiaries in that jurisdiction, and an asset management representative office.
In addition, the Bank provides private banking and wealth management services from offices in London, Guernsey, Zurich and Hong Kong.
Winners in the Euromoney awards are chosen by a panel of the magazine's editors, with assistance from their correspondents in each region.
