LONDON (Bloomberg) — Capital One Financial Corp. is cutting about 750 jobs in its UK division as the credit-card company scales back its ambitions in Europe, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The eliminated positions are mostly in call centers, account servicing and support roles, and represent about 40 percent of Capital One's jobs in the UK, the newspaper reported yesterday, citing the company. Most jobs will be moved to India and other countries, the Journal said.
