RenaissanceRe appointed a new senior vice-president yesterday.The company announced that Dan Eudy was appointed to the position at Glencoe Group, which conducts the organisation's individual risk business. Mr. Eudy, will be based in Hartford, Connecticut.Neill Currie, president and CEO of RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd., said: "I am very pleased to welcome Dan to the RenaissanceRe team. Dan is a seasoned and respected insurance professional."

Lines Overseas Management (LOM) Group of Companies has announced a number of new appointments, including four Bermudians, to its staffbase.

David Barker took on the lead role at the company's trade desk in February. He has 20 years of trading experience with the Bank of Bermuda, RNB of New York, TW Securities and other firms.

Kenny Foggo joined the operations department and is training under senior manager Howard Daniels in a settlements administration role. He brings a history of teaching experience to his new position.

Arantxa Mayers has completed her college education and has taken up the post of client relationship management administrator. She will be supporting investment advisors in the firm, with a focus on LOM's savings plan and retirement savings plans for local and expatriate clientele.

Malik Showers has, meanwhile, returned to LOM's IT department in as a network administrator.

In addition to the Bermudians, Tanya Kramarska has linked up with the LOM sales force.

Previously she worked with Assante Capital and Scotia McLeod and will be supporting the company's senior investment advisors.

Rounding up the list of new changes, Matt Earle is now on board as the company's Internet marketing specialist.

He has helped to produce LOM's new website at: and has also worked on new innovations to provide updates on LOM's Blue Book tracking local companies, online mutual fund fact sheets and a video introduction on LOM's employment pages.

Max Capital Group Ltd. has elected of James MacNaughton as a director, filling a vacancy on its 11-member board of directors.

"Max is fortunate to have an individual with Jim's experience, insights, and talents join our board," said Max Capital's CEO W Marston Becker. "We welcome him to the Max board of directors."

Mr. MacNaughton recently retired from Rothschild Inc., where he served as a senior advisor. From 2001 to 2007, he was a managing director and global partner at Rothschild.

Between 1979 to 2000, he was at Salomon Brothers, where he held a variety of positions including, most recently, managing director. Mr. MacNaughton began his career in 1973 at the Republic National Bank of Dallas, where he served as vice-president.

He has also served as a member of the Deutsche Asset Management International Insurance Advisory Board since 2006 and is a member of the board of directors of the Interboro Insurance Co.

Mr. MacNaughton is a Certified Public Accountant (Texas 1977) and a member of the International Insurance Society, and he is also on the Board of Public Television Channel WLIW 21, which serves New York City and Long Island, New York.
