Great Things in store for Hamilton site?
Owners of Hamilton store Great Things are seeking ideas for how to use or develop their large, edge-of-town site.
The roughly 30,000-square-foot area on East Broadway has been home to the store, which sells a wide variety of goods from fans to jacuzzis, for around 30 years.
An advertisement in yesterday’s edition of The Royal Gazette invited those interested in renting sections of the property, or the whole of it, to put forward their ideas forward to the owners. One of the principles of the business, Andrew Gracie, said yesterday that there were no plans, as yet, to close the store.
“At some point, the property will be redeveloped,” Mr. Gracie said. “All we are doing now is investigating the options for the future.”
By lunchtime yesterday, Mr. Gracie said he had already received “quite a few phone calls” from interested parties.
Those interested are invited to put forward their ideas by February 28, either by e-mail to andrew.greatthings[AT]ibl.bm or by phone, on 505-5044.
