Global risk and reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter and Company, which has offices in Bermuda and is part of the Marsh & McLennan Companies has been named "Best Global Reinsurance Broker" at Reactions magazine's Global Awards 2007, held in New York.

In addition, Guy Carpenter managing director David Priebe was honoured with Reactions' inaugural "Rising Star" award, a new category introduced this year to recognise the reinsurance industry's most promising executive.

"These awards are a wonderful validation of all the hard work our global team has put in this year to strengthen and expand our organization, while continuing to deliver superior service, fresh thinking and groundbreaking solutions to our clients," said David Spiller, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter.
