Kentucky Fried Chicken falls
Kentucky Fried Chicken Ltd. saw its share price drop 25 cents yesterday.
The fast food joint popular with locals saw a 100 shares traded throughout the course of the day. It finished at $7.25.
Meanwhile insurer BF&M saw its share price rise 50 cents, or 2.5 percent, after 2,000 shares were traded. It finished at $20.50.
And Bermuda Aviation Services saw its price climb 7.5 percent, or 45 cents, to $6.45 after 100 shares were traded.
BAS told the BSX that it intends to start a share repurchase programme to buy back 250,000 of its common shares.
BAS further advised that any repurchased shares would be immediately cancelled.
The Exchange has accepted the notice and has advised BAS that its share repurchase programme could be set to commence as of yesterday.
Keytech Ltd. was the only other company to see a change in its share price on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday. It saw its price drop 75 cents or 5.3 percent after 2,577 shares were traded and finished the day at $13.50.
The Index as a whole slipped 6.73 points, 0.13 percent, after 31,467 shares were traded, valued at more than half a million dollars. It closed at 5,039.46.
Meanwhile the Bermuda Insurance Index closed at 1,072.17, down half a point, or 0.05 percent.
