Market creeps up

A small rise in the value of Bermuda Aviation Services shares was responsible for a 0.46 (0.01 percent) point rise in the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange, which ended at 5,074.31.
The BAS shares improved by five cents (0.8 percent) to $6.30 after 800 were traded.
In the insurance sector 2,400 shares of BF&M were exchanged at $18 each, but there was no change in the closing price. Likewise there was no change to the value of Argus Group shares, which remained at $15 after 500 were traded.
Shares of Butterfield Bank were also active with 400 exchanged at $59, again without change to the closing price.
The total number of shares traded was 4,100, representing a value of $79,340.
