Microsoft recognises Computer City

Computer City has been awarded three major competencies by Microsoft in recognition of the level of its technical capabilities and scope of service delivery.

The competencies were in the areas of Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Information Worker Solutions and Security Solutions.

The Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Competency is awarded for proven skill and expertise in active directory, exchange migration and deployment, systems management, storage solutions and windows desktop deployment.

The Information Worker Solutions Competency is awarded for specialisations in portals and collaboration, office deployment, enterprise content management and forms, and enterprise project management, while the Security Solutions Competency is awarded for capabilities and proficiencies in using Microsoft technologies to provide security solutions in infrastructure security and identity and secure access.

Craig Clark, Computer City's managing director, said: "These awards go a long way in cementing our already strong and solid belief in continually striving to improve our product and service deliveries and enhance our technical skills in meeting client demands. This is a tremendous achievement for us."

Computer City received its first Microsoft Competency in Network Infrastructure Solutions in 2005. The competencies are bestowed upon partner organisations through a stringent process that utilises customer references, individual certification of team members, the development of tested and certified solutions based on Microsoft technologies and meeting minimum sales bars.
