More than 100 young professionals expected for Chamber Connections

Freisenbruch-Meyer Group will be hosting its second Chamber Connections night after the success of last year's event.

The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce initiative, Chamber Connections, aims to encourage young professionals working in businesses across the Island to network with one another while learning about new services and products.

The event happens four times a year and the host company uses it to market their facilities, products or services to other members who may not have known of them.

This Thursday it will be held from 5.30 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. at the Freisenbruch-Meyer Group Building on 75 Front Street.

The term "young professional" was adopted in 2006, in an effort to classify these individuals in a way that set them apart from all our other Chamber members.

Executive vice-president of the Chamber, Diane Gordon, said: "It benefits all Chamber members but what we have tried to encourage companies to do is send young employees to these events because many of them do not know about the services provided at other companies.

"It's also important for young professionals to meet other young professionals in different fields.

"So far the response has been great, it grows every time we have one because people hear about it. More than 100 people are planning to attend the event."
