New printer sets down blueprint for 10th year
Bermuda Blueprinting Ltd. is marking its 10th anniversary with the launch of a new state-of-the-art media printer this week.
The Arizona 250 Flatbed Printer, which was bought from Océ North America in August, is the only one of its kind on the Island.
It can print on virtually any solid surface that is four feet by eight feet and up to two inches thick and, in addition to printing signs and posters, it has the capacity to print on ceramic tiles, ceiling tiles and doors.
John Stephens, owner and operator of Bermuda Blueprinting declared himself pleased with this new addition to his continually expanding business.
He said: "I am very pleased with the Arizona 250. It is a fantastic machine. The capabilities of the printer are enormous. Its addition reinforces our motto of large or small we do it all."
On top of that, Bermuda Blueprinting has launched www.myplanroom.bm for Bermuda, a project management web-based platform for architects, builders and developers.
Mr. Stephens said Myplanroom.bm allows you to maintain and control project documents from their initial conception to their final completion, while storing, viewing, updating, notifying, printing, tracking and delivering documents.
"This is an excellent tool for everyone involved in the development or construction projects here on island," he said. "It's cutting edge technology recently débuted worldwide, and we bring it to Bermuda.
"Come in and we'll set you up with it and get you started."
Mr. Stephens purchased Bermuda Blueprinting in 1997. At the time, it was a small company that focused solely on the printing of architectural blueprints, but, since than he has expanded the business from a one-man, 600 square foot space, to its new location on Bakery Lane in Pembroke, with 3,600 square feet of working space and seven full-time dedicated employees.
Bermuda Blueprinting is a full printer service and boasts a customer base of more than 490 Bermuda companies, offering services such as copies, flyers, posters, banners, mounting and laminating, event signage, corporate signage, display options, graphic designing, business cards, digital outputs, vinyl signage and scanning.
The company is hosting an open house for clients on Friday October 5, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Overseas representatives from Océ will be on hand to give demonstrations of the Arizona 250 GT Flatbed Printer.
