Omni Group named E-Government local partner of year
Bermudian IT service company, The Omni Group, has been named E-Government Local Partner of the Year.
More than 30 public servants saw their effort to improve public service recognised at the first E-Government Awards held at the end of last month.
They were nominated for the dozen awards handed out by the Department of E-Government.
"It has been a huge year for our company," said company president Delano Seymour. "We have experienced significant growth and added several new services to our portfolio. To be recognised by E-Government in this way is both a tremendous honour and an encouraging sign that our commitment to customer service is paying off."
The Omni Group is responsible for mission critical operations of the www.gov.bm portal IT infrastructure.
Julian Carlington, vice-president, said: "Our customers pay on the basis of uptime, not downtime. It may seem strange to hear this from an IT outsourcing company, but we have a philosophical problem with a customer paying high hourly charges for IT support when they trust the IT support vendor to make sound long term decisions for the health of the organisation."
