PartnerRe's board has increased the company's repurchase authorisation by about 2.6 million shares, bringing its total up to five million shares. The company said the authorisation is a boost from the 2.4 million shares remaining from a programme adopted in May. The company has repurchased a total of 3.1 million shares in 2007.
