QuoVadis makes Swiss partnership
Bermuda-based Internet security company QuoVadis has formed a major strategic partnership with GS1 in Switzerland, one of world's largest standards and services providers for supply and demand chains.
QuoVadis provides technologies used to identify devices and people working online, to protect the privacy of data and to ensure the integrity of electronic records.
With government and taxation authorities trying to encourage businesses to adopt e-business, they may provide certain tax incentives to take on e-invoicing, but on the flipside, those companies need to make sure the people they are dealing with are the people they say they are.
And that is where QuoVadis comes in, as the first provider 'qualified' to supply digital credentials in Switzerland to support the Swiss Federal Department of Finance's new requirements in this area.
The new partnership will enable GS1 to act as an official registration authority providing ElDV compliant digital certificates from QuoVadis to their growing client user base.
