Tunnicliffe to join Kiln syndicate

R J Kiln & Co. Ltd. has appointed Lloyd Tunnicliffe with a view to his becoming the active underwriter of Kiln Syndicate 807, succeeding Stephen Mathers who is expected to retire at the end of this year.

Mr. Tunnicliffe has more than 25 years underwriting experience, with more than eight years as the active underwriter of a non-marine syndicate at Advent Underwriting Agency, where he was latterly also director of underwriting.

Charles Franks, CEO of R J Kiln & Co Ltd., said: "This appointment is tremendous news for Kiln and for Syndicate 807. Lloyd Tunnicliffe has just the breadth of experience required for managing the strong and stable team that Stephen Mathers has built up over his 17 years as active underwriter of Syndicate 807."
