Turnover tops $3m
There was heavy trading in Butterfield Bank last week, which helped to push the trading turnover on the Royal Gazette Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) to more than $3 million.
The Bank’s share price dropped 25 cents (0.43 percent) to close Friday on $57.75, as 42,947 of its shares changed hands.
The biggest climber of the week was Bermuda Container Line Ltd., which gained 6.79 percent (95 cents) to close on $14.95, a 52-week high. Another gainer was Argus Group Holdings Ltd., which advanced 25 cents (1.72 percent) to end the week on $14.75, as 14,900 shares traded.
Rival insurer BF&M Ltd. was also busy in the market ast 6,510 shares traded. It ended down 25 cents (1.35 percent) to close Friday on $18.25.
MediaHouse Ltd. hit a 52-week high of $6.75 after rising 10 cents (1.5 percent) on the trading of 12,480 shares.
BTC owners KeyTech Ltd. fell 95 cents from its 52-week high over the course of last week, a fall of 5.76 percent, to end up at $15.55, as 4,900 shares traded.
The BSX Index ended the week at 5,000.05, down 25.37 points (0.51 percent). Volume was 85,207 shares and turnover was $3.047 million.
