Bank on the BSX

Banking and insurance were where the safe money was yesterday on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
Bermuda Commercial bank Ltd. increased its share value by 50 cents (4.2 percent) to close at $12.50, with 1,000 shares traded, while Argus Group Holdings Ltd. also climbed 50 cents (3.3 percent) to $15.75, as 10,131 shares changed hands.
As a whole, the Index rose 22.90 (0.46 percent) to finish up at 4,968.45, with 14,849 shares worth $240,426.90 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index, meanwhile, dropped 1.71 percent to close on 1,176.05.
