BAS shares fly

Bermuda Aviation Services got off to a flying start as their share price soared by 40 cents (6.7 percent) to $6.40 on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) at close of play yesterday.
The transportation company traded 140 shares.
Another company experiencing activity on the Index was Butterfield Bank, whose share value increased 15 cents (0.7 percent) to finish on $21.15, with 8,923 shares changing hands.
As a whole the Index also climbed to 5,382.06, up 27.63 points (0.52 percent).
Meanwhile the BSX Insurance Index closed up at 1,164.02, representing a change of 0.34 percent.
