BCB is the biggest gainer on BSX
Bermuda Commercial Bank was the biggest gainers on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index last week.
Its share value soared by $1.40 (11.2 percent) to close up at $13.90, as 2,000 shares were traded.
On the flipside Watlington Waterworks suffered a $2 (13.33 percent) loss, with only 200 shares changing hands, and Bermuda Aviation Services dropped 50 cents (7.41 percent) off its share price to finish at $6.25. A total of 321,596 shares were traded.
Other companies reporting losses were BF&M (15 cents/0.78 percent), Argus Group (10 cents/0.67 percent) and Butterfield Bank (five cents/0.25 percent).
Bucking the overall trend though, the Index closed up 7.278 points (0.14 percent) at 5,067.06.
A total of 389,235 shares worth $3,365,563.15 were traded. The BSX Insurance Index finished up as well, 0.47 percent at 1,306.15.
