BELCO Holdings Ltd. illuminated the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The utilities company boosted its share price by 50 cents (2.4 percent) to close at $21.50, with 224 shares traded.

But, Butterfield Bank's share value dropped five cents (0.3 percent) to finish on $18.90, as a total of 1,000 shares changed hands.

The Index, as whole, finished up 1.20 points (0.02 percent) at 4,974.10, with 1,224 shares worth $23,704.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, dropped 1.68 percent to close down at 1,196.42.
