Belco lights up BSX

Belco Holdings Ltd. lit up The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) with a strong performance yesterday.
The utilities company saw its share price rise $1.45 (7.1 percent) to close at $21.95, with 2,021 shares traded.
But, Butterfield Bank dropped five cents (0.3 percent) to finish on $17.70, as 26,311 shares changed hands throughout the day.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. also traded 17,294 shares, but its share value remained unchanged.
As a whole, the Index closed up 17.87 points (0.35 percent) at 5,154.65, with a total of 45,626 shares worth $787,530.80 transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index was also up 0.35 percent at 5,154.65.
