Belco's price soars

Belco was the only company to benefit from trading on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
The utilities company saw its share price rise 25 cents (1.2 percent) to close at $21.25, with 600 shares traded.
But, Butterfield Bank lost out, dropping 50 cents (2.7 percent) to finish on $18, as 29,700 shares changed hands.
Overall, the Index declined 83.33 points (1.59 percent) to 5,142.40, with 600 shares worth $12,700 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index, meanwhile, inched up 1.06 percent to 1,118.97.
