BF&M Ltd. were the big gainers on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The insurance company boosted its share price by $2.20 (11.7 percent) to close at $20.95, with 200 shares traded.

But, LOM (Holdings) Ltd. and Butterfield Bank both dropped their share value by 20 cents (five percent) and five cents (0.3 percent) respectively.

Butterfield Bank finished on $17.60, with 9,900 shares changing hands, while LOM closed at $3.80, as 47,000 shares were traded.

Overall, however, the Index was up 18.85 points (0.39 percent) at 4,832.03, with a total of 57,121 shares worth $360,547.50 being traded.

The BSX Insurance Index, meanwhile, inched up 3.65 percent to 1,096.29.
