BII lines up Bermuda insurance seminars

Bermuda Insurance Institute is holding four morning seminars in September for professionals in related industries to gain an overview of the Bermuda insurance market.

Topics will include insurable risks, perils, hazards, subrogation and utmost good faith, as well as lines of business, underwriting, broking and claims, accounting and financial management and actuarial aspects of auditing.

Attendees can also learn more about reinsurance, captives and gain an insight of the comparison between the US, UK and Bermuda markets.

The seminars are aimed at accountants, bankers, lawyers, human resource managers and information systems personnel and insurance employees with two or more years experience of the industry.

Entry-level employees will be catered for with a BII seminar at a later date.

Presenters at the BII induction seminar include James Loder of XL Capital, Leslie Robinson of Ariel Reinsurance, Craig Redcliffe and Thomas Standford of Ernst & Young, Henry Sutton of AIG, Nigel Chatterjee of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Robert Stubbs of Foram Brokerage and BII's Juile Preece.
