BSX climbs higher
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) rose 55.68 points (1.07 percent) to close at 5,198.09, as 137,082 shares worth $2,404,204.30 were traded yesterday.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. continued its good form of late, rising $1.05 (0.08 percent) to close up at $17.50 for the week.
The insurance company also traded 8,200 shares.
Butterfield Bank, meanwhile, boosted its share price by five cents to finish on $18, with 3,971 shares changing hands over teh same period.
But, Devonshire Industries Ltd. dropped 50 cents (0.04 percent) to $12, as 300 shares were traded, and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. declined five cents (0.01 percent) to $6, while 1,000 shares were transacted.
Belco Holdings Ltd. was the only other company to experience any activity, with 25 shares being traded, but its share value remained unchanged.
The BSX Insurance Index inched up 2.23 percent to 1,099.94 for the day.
