The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index ended a busy week up 7.99 points (0.16 percent) at 4,995.28 yesterday.

A total of 25,000 shares worth $478,230 were traded throughout the day.

Butterfield Bank moved up five cents (0.3 percent) to close at $18.95, as 22,500 shares changed hands.

Belco Holdings Ltd. also traded 2,500 shares, but it remained unchanged at $21.

The BSX Insurance Index, meanwhile, also finished up 1.18 percent at 1,129.57.
