BSX suffers losses
It was a day of big losses on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday, as no fewer than three companies saw their share price drop.
Watlington Waterworks Ltd. were the worst hit as their share value slid back $2 (13.3 percent) to close on $13, closely followed by Argus Group Holdings Ltd., who suffered a $1 loss (6.7 percent) to finish at $14. Respectively they traded 200 and 306 shares.
Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. also experienced a regression with their share value falling 35 cents (5.2 percent) to close down at $6.40, as 319,196 shares changed hands.
The only company to boost their share price was BF&M Ltd., with a five cent increase (0.3 percent) to close at $19.20. A total of 350 shares were traded.
Overall, the Index closed down 44.41 points (0.87 percent) at 5,034.01, as 332,393 shares worth a total of $2,299,657.10 changed hands.
The BSX Insurance Index continued its good work of recent weeks, creeping up 0.47 percent to close up at 1,306.15.
