It proved to be a day of gains on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX), with Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and BELCO Holdings Ltd. both boosting their share prices yesterday.

Argus increased its share value by $1 (0.06 percent), to close at $16.50, with 1,000 shares traded, while BELCO rose by 75 cents (0.04 percent) to finish on $21, as 9,400 shares changed hands.

The only other company to trade was Butterfield Bank, as 38,168 shares were transacted, but its share price held firm at $17.50.

As a whole, the Index was up 51.90 points (1.08 percent) at 4,848.81, with a total of 48,568 worth $876,090 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was down 0.07 percent at 1,095.51.
