Busy times on BSX
Last week proved to be one of the busiest ever in recent months on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX).
Butterfield Bank boosted its share price by $1.85 (10.82 percent) to close at $18.95, with 124,419 shares traded, while BF&M Ltd.;s share value also grew $1 (4.76 percent) to $22, as 4,100 shares changed hands, in advance of its 10-for-one share split option.
But, in contrast, KeyTech dropped $2.50 (16.39 percent) to finish on $12.75, with 1,400 shares traded, and Devonshire Industries Ltd. declined $1 (7.41 percent) to $12.50, with 100 shares traded.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and Belco Holdings Ltd. also traded 3,000 and 2,500 shares respectively,but their share prices held firm.
Overall, the Index was up by 248.735 points (4.98 percent) at 4,995.28, with a total of 135,519 shares worth $2,450,425.95 changing hands.
