Butterfield Bank shares rose 10 cents (0.6 percent) to close at $18.10 yesterday on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index.

The bank also traded 19,573 shares.

Other big traders included Devonshire Industries Ltd. (3,350 shares), Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. (700), Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. (100), Belco Holdings Ltd. (100) and BF&M Ltd. (30), but none of their share prices changed.

Overall, the Index was up 13.06 points (0.25 percent) at 5,137.99, with 24,053 shares worth $411,087 changing hands.

The BSX Insurance Index also increased by 7.4 points (0.66 percent) to finish on 1,127.91.
