Butterfield Bank proved its value on the Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) as its share price climbed five cents (0.2 percent) to close at $21.10 yesterday.

They traded a total of 1,954 shares, while 200 shares in BELCO Holdings Ltd. changed hands.

Overall $45,172.10 worth of 2,154 shares were traded on the Index as it finished up 7.99 points (0.15 percent) on 5,257.63.

The BSX Insurance Index closed up 0.85 percent at 1,200.33.
