BF&M Ltd. enjoyed a good day's trading on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

Its share value rose 60 cents (3.3 percent) to close up at $19, with 400 shares traded.

MediaHouse Ltd. also experienced an increase of 25 cents (3.7 percent) to finish on $7, as 250 shares changed hands, while Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. went into reverse, losing $1 (6.5 percent) off its price, with 2,600 shares traded.

The banks were also active with Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. trading 25,000 shares to close up 25 cents (two percent) at $12, and Butterfield Bank trading 11,603 shares.

Overall the Index finished up 3.78 points (0.07 percent) at 5,090.89, as 39,853 shares changed hands worth $585,111.15.

The BSX Insurance Index also boosted its strength, closing up 1.22 percent at 1,285.22.
