Insurance leads way
Insurance was the sector to be in on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday, with both Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and BF&M Ltd.'s share prices soaring.
Argus saw its share value increase by 70 cents (4.5 percent) to close up at $16.20, with 2,000 shares traded, while BF&M experienced a 25-cent (1.2 percent) rise to $21, as 100 shares changed hands.
KeyTech Ltd., however, dropped $2.50 (16.4 percent) to finish on $12.75, with 1,400 shares traded.
Butterfield Bank was the only other company to see any activity, trading 12,500, but its share price held up at $17.40.
Overall, the Index was down 29.51 points (0.62 percent) at 4,761.68, with 16,000 shares worth $268.430 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also closed down by 2.26 percent at 1,112.53.
