KeyTech and Belco best of the week

Utilities was the sector to be in last week as KeyTech and Belco Holdings both increased their share price on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index.

KeyTech saw its share value soar by $1 (7.14 percent) to $15, while Belco rose 90 cents (4.48 percent) to $21. They traded 821 and 1,525 shares respectively.

BF&M and Devonshire Industries were also active, boosting their stocks by 50 cents (2.56 percent) to close up at $20 and 25 cents to $13.75 (1.85 percent) respectively. Share volumes for each were 300 and 700 respectively.

Of the biggest decliners, Argus Group Holdings dropped 80 cents (5.08 percent) to $14.95, with 36,841 shares changing hands throughout the course of the day.

Butterfield Bank and Bermuda Container Line also both went into reverse, to the tune of 10 cents, or 0.53 percent and 0.68 percent respectively.

As a whole, the Index inched up 0.166 points to 4,968.62, with 76,968 shares worth $1,290,454.40 traded. The BSX Insurance Index closed on 1,173.47.
