Marshall Diel & Myers appoints new senior counsel

Hamilton-based law firm Marshall Diel & Myers has the appointed Steven Trumper as the new senior counsel and head of its corporate department.

Mr. Trumper (pictured) will oversee the growth of the department and develop the firm's international profile.

Prior to joining Marshall Diel & Myers, Mr. Trumper was a senior partner in the business law department in the Toronto office of the law firm of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. There he worked on high profile transactions that included the introduction of Amazon.com to Canada and the purchase of the SkyDome, a Toronto landmark, by Rogers Telecommunications, where his team represented the legal interests of the Province of Ontario.

He has also worked in the Asian market as managing partner of Osler's Hong Kong office advising Canadian companies on direct investment into China and providing counsel on international business law.
