Reinsurance summit all set

The International Reinsurance Summit 2008 is set to be hosted at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess hotel in May. The event, which will run from Monday May 19 to Wednesday May 21, will be based on new and emerging risks and their effects on the global reinsurance market from a legal and claims perspective.

Among the key topics will be the impact of the risks defined including nanotechnology, Directors' & Officers' (D&O)/sub-prime issues, pandemics and obesity, identity fraud and cyber risk, and how to effectively underwrite, model and address risk and drafting contracts to mitigate risks successfully.

In addition, increasing product recalls and the impact on D&O exposure, global warming and climate change, and current best practice in arbitration demonstrated by a 'mock arbitration' featuring lawyers from bermuda, the US and the UK, will be on the agenda.
