Surveyors set to take the LEED
Considerations, opportunities and challenges facing the design and construction of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) buildings will be the focus for a meeting hosted by the Bermuda branch of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) tomorrow night.
The interactive panel discussion, which is being held at the Anglican Cathedral Hall in Church Street, Hamilton, starting at 6 p.m., will feature panelists Geoff Parker, chief executive officer of Purvis Projects at Victoria Place, a mixed use project on Victoria Street which is currently obtaining LEED accreditation, and Julia Van Beelen, architect for the HSBC building on Front Street.
Completing the panel are Chris Nash, engineering manager of BAC - mechanical and HVAC systems for the HSBC Harbourview project, and Caroline Seganski, senior interior designer at Entasis with North American LEED Design and Construction.
RICS members will attend their annual meeting at 5.30 p.m., with entry to the main meeting costing $5 per person including refreshments.
