The transportation sector was the biggest mover on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. closed down 25 cents (3.8 percent) at $6.25, with 1,000 shares traded, while Bermuda Container Line Ltd. finished on $14.25, losing 75 cents (five percent) off their share value, as 1,000 shares changed hands.

Butterfield Bank also suffered a downturn in fortune as their share price closed at $20.90, dropping five cents (0.2 percent). They also traded 43,409 shares.

As a whole, the Index was down 14.32 (0.27 percent) at 5,253.88. A total of 45,409 shares were traded worth $929,318.55.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, rose 1.64 percent to finish at 1,221.83.
