Utilities prove worth

The utilities sector proved its worth on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday as Watlington Waterworks Ltd. boosted their share price by 40 cents (3.2 percent) to close at $13, with 700 shares traded.
The banking industry was similarly an active place to be as Bermuda Comemrcail Bank Ltd. grew its share value by 25 cents (2.1 percent) to finish on $12.25, as 5,000 shares changed hands.
Butterfield Bank, LOM (Holdings) Ltd. and Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. - Wts also traded 25,193, 39,000 and 20 shares respectively.
Overall the Index closed up 2.67 points (0.05 percent) at 5,087.11, with a share volume of 69,913 and a turnover of $730,247.65.
The BSX Insurance Index, followed suit, finishing up 1.22 percent at 1,285.22.
