Watlington on rise

Watlington Waterworks Ltd. and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. (BAS) both enjoyed a successful day's trading on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

Watlington Waterworks boosted its share price by $1 (7.7 percent) to close up at $14, with 300 shares traded.

Meanwhile, BAS climbed 35 cents (5.7 percent) to finish on $6.45, as 1,000 shares changed hands throughout the day.

Butterfield Bank, however, went into decline, dropping five cents (0.3 percent) to close on $17.75, with 11,800 shares traded.

The Index as a whole closed down 2.92 points (0.06 percent) at 4,839.25, with a total of 13,100 shares worth $220,330 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index was also down 0.96 percent at 1,182.47.
